Vision Sensor exposure time

Post by jnaor » 15 May 2018, 07:15

Hi,

Is there a way to control shutter speed (exposure time) for a Vision Sensor?

Thanks!

Hello,

no, you can't. What do you want to achieve?

Cheers

Can you fake exposure by altering image brightness?

That's the fallback method... I hoped there was something built in.
Thanks

I thought to add an omnidirectional light source which is visible only to the camera whose exposure I want to simulate.
Is it possible to control the luminosity of an omnidirectional light using the remote API?
If so, I'd be grateful for an example.

Thanks,

Jonathan

You can adjust a light with sim.setLightParameters. That function is however not directly available from the remote API client. From the remote API client call a script function with simxCallScriptFunction. You can put any code in that function and return values to your remote API client.
